Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Sunrise of Scottsdale and speaking with the Executive Director, Erik Thompson. Personally, touring local facilities and gathering information is a key part of our new senior concierge initiative to provide our clients with more resources. Sunrise Senior Living of Scottsdale is an award-winning facility, conveniently located near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard. It offers personalized assisted living, memory care, independent living services, and short-term stays.
The monthly rate is determined by three components: the suite, the level of care, and any additional services you may need. Suites range from studios to two-bedroom units, all of which felt spacious with tall ceilings and efficient layouts. Each resident undergoes a comprehensive assessment to create an Individual Service Plan (ISP), ensuring that the level of care is custom-tailored to meet their needs.
In addition to care, dining, activities, and a sense of community are all important aspects of what Sunrise of Scottsdale provides. A variety of activities are scheduled every day, beginning at 7:30 AM with the walking club on their walking path or coffee in the bistro, and concluding with movies at 6:15 PM. Throughout the day, other activities include exercise, music, bingo, and a range of fun activities designed to keep residents engaged and foster a sense of community.
I was very impressed by the staff, some of whom have been with Sunrise of Scottsdale for more than 10 years, and their dedication to providing the best experience for the residents.
