Andara Senior Living
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Andara Senior Living and meeting with Megan Cox, the Community Relations Coordinator. Touring local communities and gathering information is a key part of our new senior concierge initiative, which aims to provide our clients and followers with comprehensive resources about Senior Living Communities. Andara is located at 114th Street and Via Linda, just down the street from the Ancala Country Club. An amazing benefit for Andara’s Independent Living residents is a complimentary social membership at the Ancala Country Club, which is only a mile away.
Andara Senior Living consists of two buildings connected by a sky bridge. The building on the south side of the community houses independent living, while the building on the north side is dedicated to assisted living. Amenities like the movie theater, heated outdoor pool, salon and spa, Casablanca Dining Room, piano lounge, bistro, computer room, and library are all located in the assisted living building but can be used by both assisted living and independent living residents.
There are a variety of one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans available. The starting monthly rate for one-bedroom independent living apartments is $2,995, with a wide variety of meal plans and additional services that can be purchased as well. The cost for assisted living is based on the apartment floor plan, with starting monthly rates beginning at $5,310. This rate covers the apartment and includes services such as weekly housekeeping, three meals per day, scheduled transportation, and an emergency call pendant. The cost for the Level of Care is additional and varies depending on the specific needs of the resident. All apartments include full kitchens and washers/dryers.
Every day, Andara offers a major scheduled activity, along with a variety of other activities such as live entertainment every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 3:30 p.m., and outings multiple days a week to shopping, dining, theater, sporting events, the casino, and more. There are also a variety of fitness programs scheduled daily. Andara is currently undergoing a major remodel, so I plan to return for another visit once it’s finished. The movie theater, which was recently remodeled, is the nicest one I’ve seen on my tours so far.
